Medical Travel Korea(MTK) HOSPITAL RANKING POLICY

The Ranking Policy describes the rules by which hospitals are ranked on the MTK website.
MTK uses an automated ranking system to provide patients with objective information about hospitals.

RANKING FORMULA:

  • Hospital Ranking Score  Satisfaction + Recommendation + Popularity
  • Each criterion is worth 33.3% of the total ranking score.
  • Rankings are updated weekly based on daily data collection.

THREE RANKING CRITERIA
1. SATISFACTION (Patient Rating)
- Measures: Patient satisfaction on a 5-point scale
- Source: Patient reviews and feedback
- Example: Hospital with 4.8/5.0 average rating scores higher

2. RECOMMENDATION (Review Count)
- Measures: Number of patient reviews and recommendations
- Source: Verified patient testimonials
- Example: Hospital with 200 reviews scores higher than one with 50 reviews

3. POPULARITY (Consultation Inquiries)
- Measures: Number of website visitors and consultation requests
- Source: Hospital inquiry and visitor data
- Example: Hospital with 500 monthly inquiries scores higher than one with 200

WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED IN RANKINGS

Rankings do NOT consider:
- Hospital size or age
- Hospital advertising budget
- Whether hospital pays for listing
- Hospital location
- Hospital pricing
- Paid placements (except "Promoted" status)

All hospitals compete fairly based on actual patient feedback.

PROMOTED HOSPITALS
Hospitals can pay for promotional placement:
- Hospital appears at top of search results
- Clearly marked with "Promoted" label
- Automatic ranking still applies below promoted hospitals
- Promotion does not affect actual ranking score

This allows patients to see both promoted and organic rankings.

- Respond quickly to inquiries
- Provide excellent customer service
- Engage with potential patients
